UKFOA Verification Programme
The UK Family Office Association (UKFOA) operates the UK's only independent verification programme for single and multi-family offices.
Why verification matters
In a sector with no mandatory registration or unified regulatory framework, the term “family office” is used by a wide range of organisations — from genuine single-family structures to loosely affiliated wealth clubs. This creates confusion, erodes trust and makes it difficult for advisers and counterparties to identify genuine principals.
The UK Family Office Association (UKFOA) verification programme addresses this directly. We assess applications against a structured set of eligibility criteria and issue UKFOA Verified status to qualifying organisations.
UKFOA Verified status is not a guarantee — it is a signal. It means the UK Family Office Association (UKFOA) has reviewed the application, assessed the information provided, and determined that the organisation meets our eligibility criteria at the time of verification.
